The full listening and reading sections of TOPIK II, with questions spread across levels 3, 4 and 5–6 and an estimated level at the end.
TOPIK II covers levels 3 to 6. The first session has listening (50 questions, 60 minutes) and writing (4 questions, 50 minutes); the second has reading (50 questions, 70 minutes). Each section is worth 100 points, 300 in total. The level cut-offs are 120 for level 3, 150 for level 4, 190 for level 5 and 230 for level 6. Engame's TOPIK II mock test has the full listening and reading sections but no writing yet, so your listening and reading share is projected onto 300 as an estimate.
| Section | Questions | Minutes | Points |

Engame converts your share of correct answers to the 300-point scale: score = correct answers ÷ 100 × 300, rounded. The level shown is the highest band your score reaches.
| Level | Real exam cut-off | Correct answers needed (of 100) |
|---|---|---|
| TOPIK 3 | 120/300 | 40 |
| TOPIK 4 | 150/300 | 50 |
| TOPIK 5 | 190/300 | 64 |
| TOPIK 6 | 230/300 | 77 |
The official descriptions run from everyday independence to near-professional use. At level 3 you manage daily life and maintain social relationships without much difficulty. Level 4 adds public topics such as news and work. Level 5 means using Korean in professional and research settings, and level 6 means doing so with near-fluent accuracy.
There is no official CEFR equivalence; as a rough guide, levels 3 to 6 span about B1 to C1/C2. Korean universities commonly require level 3 for admission and level 4 for graduation, and some scholarships and jobs ask for level 5 or 6.
Because one paper decides four possible levels, TOPIK II questions get harder as you go: the early items in each section are level 3 material and the last ones level 5–6. Engame's mock test follows the same idea by drawing parts from TOPIK 3, 4 and 5–6 banks.

These days, in many restaurants and cafés, customers are greeted not by staff but by self-service ordering machines called "kiosks". Customers touch the screen to choose from the menu and even pay by card themselves. Today kiosks are common not only in restaurants but also in hospitals, cinemas and train stations. For shops, this reduces labour costs, and for customers, it shortens the time spent waiting in line. But not everyone finds kiosks convenient. Older people who are not used to digital devices, in particular, sometimes give up ordering and simply leave because the text is small and the steps are complicated. They become even more flustered because they feel the people waiting behind them watching. According to one survey, more than half of people aged 70 and over said they had never used a kiosk. This situation, in which technological progress actually makes life harder for some people, is called the "digital divide". To solve this problem, some areas are teaching older people how to use kiosks. Kiosks with large-text screens or voice guidance are also being developed. Some shops also keep a counter open so that customers can order directly from staff. Such efforts need to continue so that the convenience of technology reaches everyone equally.
Does our brain rest while we sleep? Many people think of sleep as "the time when the brain stops working", but in reality that is not so. According to research, even while we sleep the brain does the important job of organising the information it took in during the day.
We come across countless pieces of information in a day. The brain first keeps this information in a temporary storage space, and then, while we sleep, sorts what is needed from what is not. It then moves the important information into long-term memory so that it can be remembered for a long time. This process is said to be especially active during deep sleep. Conversely, information that is not very important is erased in this process. Thanks to this, the brain secures free space to take in new information again the next day. Without this sorting process, our heads would fill up with unorganised information and soon become cluttered.
A research team carried out an experiment to confirm this. After having university students memorise a list of words, they let one group sleep fully and kept the other group awake all night. In a test the next day, the students who had slept remembered far more words than those who had stayed awake. In other words, when we lack sleep, new information is not properly organised and is easily forgotten. Moreover, the students who had not slept had poorer concentration and also took longer to read the test questions.
So it is hard to regard cutting back on sleep to study before an exam as a very effective method. Rather, if you want what you have studied to stay in your head for a long time, (...). Experts advise that adults should ideally sleep seven hours or more a day, and that not using a smartphone for long before bed helps deep sleep. They added that getting into the habit of going to bed and getting up at about the same time every day can improve the quality of sleep.
C. 충분히 자는 것이 더 중요하다 The previous sentence says cutting sleep is ineffective and the next advises 7+ hours of sleep, so the blank is "sleeping enough is more important".
C. 잠은 기억을 정리하고 오래 남기는 데 중요하다 The whole text explains that the brain organises information into long-term memory during sleep, backed by an experiment. It rejects the idea that the brain stops.
A. 말걸 Regretting something you did is -지 말걸 그랬다. 말까, 말던 and 마는 cannot combine with 그랬다. The sentence means: My friend is angry. I should not have said that.
B. 부모로서 (으)로서 marks a role or capacity. (으)로써 marks means, 치고 means for a, and (이)나마 means even if only. The sentence means: As parents, we must set an example for our children.
B. 복용하기에 앞서 Reading the instructions comes before taking the medicine, so -기에 앞서 is used. -(으)ㄴ 끝에 means after a long process, -(으)ㄹ세라 means for fear that, and -다 못해 means unable to bear it. The sentence means: Before taking the medicine, be sure to read the instructions.
A. 공지한 바와 같이 It refers back to an earlier announcement, so -(으)ㄴ 바와 같이 fits. -(으)ㄴ 끝에 means after a long process, -(으)ㄹ세라 means for fear that, and -다 못해 means unable to bear it. The sentence means: As already announced, the meeting has been postponed to next week.
150 out of 300. Level 3 starts at 120, level 5 at 190 and level 6 at 230.
180 minutes of testing in two sessions: listening and writing (110 minutes), then reading (70 minutes).
Four questions: two sentence completions, a 200–300 character description of a chart, and a 600–700 character essay.
Most ask for level 3 for admission and many for level 4 before graduation, but each university sets its own rules.
Essays need careful marking that Engame cannot do automatically yet. The estimate is projected from listening and reading, and the page says so wherever the score appears.
